As someone who absolutely lives for Autumn, it is inevitable that I have picked up some things in stores which I wanted to share with you. Now, I haven't specifically searched out seasonal products but between my recent trip to the States (where Halloween is LIT) and the goodies Primark delivers, I have mounted a miniature pile of stuff in my room. So without further ado, let me share these finds with you.
I am the biggest candle fan in the world. I have no idea what it is about them which I find so darn addictive, but I buy them too often, in bulk and then get really sad when they have burnt out. I was recently glancing around the Primark homeware department (otherwise known as my second home) when I came across this chocolate orange scented candle. That's right- CHOCOLATE ORANGE CANDLE! One of my favourite things matched with my favourite chocolate flavour is perhaps the quickest purchase I have made. And at just 80p, I couldn't resist picking up a handful. I have to say the scent isn't overwhelming in comparison to most of Primark's more expensive candles, but I can confirm it does smell very much like you have dived nose first into a Terry's Unwrap It! I also think the typography (is that the correct term? who knows?) makes the candle a nice decorative item. Whilst in America, I popped my Bath and Body Works innocence and left the store a broken, pennyless mess! I was hugely disappointed to see they didn't have seasonal candles in the medium size, but I did come away with two amazing scents! The first was inevitably a candle, which is titled Treat Yo Self and combines, yet again, some of my favourite things: memes, Halloween and spooky scents! Whilst it may be a neon, slime green coloured concoction, it has a warm, spicy, stereotypically seasonal scent. I also picked up this Sweet Cinammon Pumpkin room spray which is the best purchase I have ever made. One small spray of this will transform ANY room into the Pumpkin Spice drowned Starbucks of Autumn- which is one of life's pleasures.
Given that America is the land of the free and freaky, I decided to scour every possible Halloween aisle. My friend Georgina can confirm this! I sadly couldn't purchase that many add on items to my already overfilled case, but I did pick up this headless guy from the 99 Cent Store (which is the greatest shop of ALL TIME). Even the lady on the checkout got creeped out by him which fuelled my already existing attraction to him. Along with the chocolate orangey goodness already mentioned, Primark have been serving out seasonal items which will have anyone shooketh. On top of that list is their Halloween section. From makeup and candles, to fairylights and accessories, they have it all. I saw this choker as I was passing through to work and couldn't resist adding it to my basket. Firstly, it was only £2 and secondly, I feel like I could great a good use out of this post Halloween, so it is really just a spooky investment in my life goal to make everyday Halloween.
Finally we have this little bat pom pom keychain which is just beyond cute. Primark had a range of these, including a little red devil which was giving me serious Scream Queen vibes. However, I recently
I can only assume that my Autumn shopping spree hasn't ended here, but I will be sure to update you on any other spooky items that make their way into my life! I am also thinking of posting an Autumn/Winter clothing haul/lookbook post, so let me know if you'd like to see that.
Until next time,
Aimee :) x
