today I am bringing you three very easy makeup looks which are perfect for Halloween. Before I begin, I would like to point out that I am a) not trained and only play with makeup with fun so b) if you don't like the quality of it then please just ignore it. I suppose the benefit of me not being Nikkie Tutorials is that my crappy makeup is perfect for Halloween, when you are trying to look as creepy as possible.
Before I go into the three looks, I am going to quickly list what you'll need at hand, because I used pretty much all of this for each look:
- Red lipstick, white eyeliner, black eyeshadow, red lip liner, black kohl liner, black liquid liner, white face paint/foundation, fake blood, brown eyeshadow or a brown liner/eyebrow pencil. Optional items include false lashes, aswell as liquid latex and SFX products, which would make the quality of the looks better, however I am INCREDIBLY ALLERGIC to liquid latex and did not use it!
- Creepy Doll

apologies for image quality! |
For this look, I started with the eye makeup, because that's where the main focus is. All you need it to put white liner on your bottom waterline, and then draw a semi circle shape under the eye, so that you can widen the look of the eye. Fill this 'new' bottom part of the eye with white liner (and white eyeshadow if you have any) and then go over the semi circle line with black kohl liner. For the 'new' bottom lashes, draw as many fake lashes as you'd like, with black liquid liner. Use black/dark grey eye shadow for the base of the lid, smudging it out as far as you'd like towards the brow bone. If using a dark grey shadow as the base, fill the crease with a darker shade. I used dramatic false lashes from Primark (which you cant really see in the image) to create that doll like look on the tops of my eyes. For the fake freckles I used brown shadow on a brush I usually use for inner corner highlight, dabbing it lightly across the bridge of my nose and slightly down onto the cheeks. You could use a brown liner or brow pencil for the freckles. For the lips I used a red liquid lipstick from Primark, but you could use any brand and finish you like. Line a heart shape in the centre of the lips with a red lip pencil and then fill it in with the lipstick. For the finished look, put your hair in braided pony tails (ribbons are optional) and for a costume, throw on a cute dress and perhaps put fake blood on it if it's old and you don't mind ruining it. Overall this look took about ten minutes and I actually found it really fun to do!
- Zombie
Yes, you're getting two pictures for this because I am SUPER PROUD OF THAT BRUISE GUNSHOT WOUND ON MY HEAD, and also because zombies are my favourite. I also just wanted to talk about how pale I am in the first picture considering I used no white makeup or foundation! Anyway, moving on to how to get the look of death. I started off by putting a tiny bit of concealer on my lips, just to make it easier to get a more pale, dead like lip (cute)! For the eyes, lightly dab a brush into some black shadow, and very lightly dab it onto the under eyes, creating the ultimate bags. I took a second dip of black shadow and put it into the corner of the eyes, just to give some definition. Then, do the same on the top lid i.e lightly circle the shadow along the eye, and up towards the brow bone. For the lips, lightly spread black shadow across them, either with your fingers or a brush, cause lets face it, the dead aren't beauty gurus! Towards the inside of my mouth, along my bottom lip, I roughly put a little bit of black kohl liner, I suppose to make my mouth look a little bit rotten. Then, in the corner of the lips, if you have any purple shadow, lightly smudge some down the corners, and a slightly underneath the lips. Put a little fake blood around your mouth and smudge it, just so it looks like you've devoured a lot of humans! For the little gunshot wound, lightly dab some black shadow, in a small circle motion, then put one or two lines of red lip liner inside it and smudge it, just to make it look a bit more sore. Lightly smudge fake blood into it, as you did around the mouth. This is where you could use liquid latex, if you have the skill and skin for it. Then just put fake blood anywhere and everywhere, I used a spray one which personally I just felt was more fun, but any fake blood is cool! Again this look took around ten minutes and was super fun.
and my final look is
Ok so yes, this is not the ~best~ Jigsaw makeup, but honestly I put white face paint on for it so you're getting a tutorial anyway, and yours will probably go a lot better. Start by putting the white makeup/foundation all over your face and a little down your neck. Put as much intense dark shadow around the eyes as you'd like. I'd actually recommend using black face paint because for some reason, no matter how much shadow I put on it just didn't look black enough, and i think it's because of the texture of the face paint just smudging it? Anyway. For the lips, apply a red lipstick, but drag it out on the top lip, almost like a Joker smile, but not too far. Then for the puppet style lines near the lips, use a liquid liner, and probably a ruler because for some reason they just don't draw on straight. For the creepy cheeks, which are the main feature, use some dark grey eye shadow and lightly draw the swirl, then go over it with red lipstick or red face paint. I did contour the nose with dark grey eyeshadow but i'm not good at it so it's not shown in the image, but if you have a talent for nose contouring then do that too. I would say this look takes the most effort out of the three and definitely annoyed me a lot when doing it, but I think with the right costume it would look more put together.
I hope you enjoyed at least one of these looks. Please let me know if you try any, I would love to see your versions.
See you in my next post,
love, Aimee :) x
