2018 goals

Hello and Happy New Year.

It is very much a convention at this time of year that we mortals think about the things we really dislike in our lives, and make resolutions to resolve these by December 31st of that year. I personally do not opt to have resolutions as I think these often lead to pressure to succeed and consequent failures. I prefer to set goals. I know you may think 'Aimee, what's the freaking difference?' but I think goals are more free. They are suggestions of what I would like to try out and change, with the mind-set of 'I'm going to see where this takes me' as oppose to 'this must take me to x destination.' Having said this, I have nothing against people who do make resolutions. It is ultimately down to what works for you and I have found that having small little wishes usually works out better for me than huge, life changing decisions which are rather drastic. Some people are actually pretty content with how their lives are and thus, aren't thrown into the New Year with the concept that they need to change. Whatever you want to do, that's cool- do what makes you happy.

2017 Top Trumps

As we move into 2018, with resolutions and wishes for what we hope to happen this year, I thought I would take the time to highlight some of my top things from 2017.

I think it was a mixed bag of a year. I had some incredible highs and a number of lows and I think the same can be said on a more global note. But this post is designed to celebrate some of the positives to come out of 2017, so let's get into it.

* The order of things listed is not ascending unless stated.

First Impressions: Pink Parcel

I recently did a post on Birchbox, a monthly subscription box related to beauty. Part of me cancelled this because I couldn't justify paying for stuff I didn't need, and also, a part of me wanted to explore the realm of subscription boxes further (so technically, my bank account is still suffering).

Now, as fun as it is to receive random bits of beauty each month, I treat myself far too often as it is. Therefore, I opted to subscribe to Pink Parcel, which has an element of need to it, as it is a box designed to help you during that time of the month. That's right. A little pick you up parcel for your periods!

July 2017 Favourites

Hello and welcome back.

July was a month filled with weather that seemed to be just as indecisive as myself. However, it appears that whilst the rain continues to pour from a sunny sky, I have actually managed to get myself together and pick some of the things I've been loving for the past month! So let's get into it shall we?

Since I've Been Gone

Hello and welcome back

It has been quite a few months since my last post. Given that 90% of my posts seem to start with some kind of apology for my absence, I think we can confirm that my dreams of being some Gossip Girl, super blogger will have to remain in my head!

Mini Life Update

Hello everyone,

I haven't done a post like this in a while and I thought it might be nice to give you all a little update on where I am at with life at the moment. So, grab a biscuit, wrap yourself in a blanket and enjoy this mini life update.

August 2016 Favourites

Hello everyone,
it seems I have actually managed to maintain a monthly theme on my blog which is a pretty big achievement for the procrastination princess! I've been loving ALOT of things in the month of August and I thought I'd share my top loved things here with you. So, here goes:

Home- I've mentioned in a few previous posts that Primark are really reigning in their homeware department. I was, as usual, in there for one thing and ended up leaving with more than what I set out to. On this occasion it happened to be a cute cushion which has Belle on one side and Cinderella on the other, which is basically two cushions for the price of one, so my regret isn't that strong. I can't remember the price but it was definitely less than £10 and it is perfect for any Disney lover out there.

Better Late Than Never...

Why hello there old friends, it's been a pretty long time since my last post (major apologies, kisses, bouquets of tulips to you) but here I am, back better late than never, and ready to blog, blog, blog about things that you may want to read, read, read (or not)!

So, what was the cause of my delay? Well, that massive, time consuming, often pain in the butt thing which happens to be my degree, and I am unbelievably relieved to say that second year is officially OVER! I feel very weird saying that. A good weird, but nonetheless it seems like this morning I enrolled at uni, and to think that I'm going to be spending the next few months planning my dissertation is beyond crazy. It's so strange to think I spent literally everyday of the academic year wanting to either a) be in bed, b) fighting dragons c) anywhere but uni, and to be at a point where the summer is officially on my door step is a complete state of JAMOHDIJDOKMONISJOSMosoM.

What will I be doing with my endless amount of time with no exams, classes, 9am lectures sent from hell? I am so glad you asked. Here is a mini list of things I'm planning on doing, and may even be writing about right here for you to read in the very near future:
