First Impressions: Pink Parcel

My Disney Bucket List

Hello and welcome back!

As you may be aware, I am going to be visiting Walt Disney World and Disneyland California in September. I am beyond excited and, as it is my first time visiting these parks, I have a lot of stuff I want to fit in to my trip. With that, I present to you my Bucket List of things to do (with a video form at the bottom of this post, just in case you feel like watching an awkward emo talk about Disney).

Rides

Having visited Disneyland Paris quite a few times, there are some rides I am hoping to compare in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland California, such as Peter Pan's Flight and Haunted Mansion. However, with new Disney Park adventures, there comes new rides which I cannot wait to test out. My priorities are Expedition Everest, Frozen Ever After and Seven Dwarves Mine Train, but, if there is room in our visit, I would love to experience Flight of Passage and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.

Shows

One of my favourite things about going to a Disney Park is the magic of getting to see a show. From indoor entertainment to night time projections, there are so many shows I want to catch. Of course, the one on top of my list is Happily Ever After in Magic Kingdom (which I am spoiler free for and would like to remain until my trip) and just slightly under that is Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular which takes place in Hollywood Studios. My list also includes Tree of Life Awakenings in Animal Kingdom, which looks completely beautiful and World of Colour (or Color if you're American) in Disney California Adventure.

Food

You can't visit a Disney Park without feasting on some Mickey shaped treats. From pretzels and cookies to lollipops, I am ready to sugar myself up and enjoy some of these snacks in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Specifically I would like to have a Rice Krispy treat (if it is veggie friendly) and Mickey Shaped Waffles. In Disneyland I would also love to try the Groot Garlic Bread because these are two of my favourite things.

I am also going to be in the parks during Halloween season (can you believe how many of my dreams are coming true?) so I will be seeking a pumpkin spiced cupcake from Gaston's Tavern, along with a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks for equal measure.

Gaston's Tavern also offers a brilliant sounding concoction called LeFou's brew, which is a mixture of apple juice, toasted marshmallow and passion fruit foam. It is also served in a novelty stein which has Gaston and LeFou on, which is a bonus because Disney cups/mugs are my biggest weakness.

Character Meets

There are so many characters available to meet in these parks, in comparison to Disneyland Paris. Along with the classic Princesses and characters, there are also the likes of Baymax, Joy and Sadness from Inside Out and even (a very creepy looking) Fairy Godmother. Along with these characters mentioned, I am also hoping to meet Princesses Tiana, Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa, as well as Pinocchio and the cast of Zootropolis/topia.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

I was lucky enough to go to the Halloween Party in Disneyland Paris last year, but I cannot begin to imagine how heckin' spectacular this is going to be. I already have my costume sorted and my pumpkin spice plans, but I also cannot wait to meet some Villains. I genuinely cannot believe how Hocus Pocus themed the party is, it is my favourite thing about Halloween and I am so going to go into overboard with merchandise.

Merchandise

Now, I don't actually need anything but I inevitably want stuff to commemorate my trip. From Walt Disney World I want the typical tourist purchases of magnets and keyrings, along with a new pair of Minnie Ears. I also really want to get Halloween themed merch, such as a mug, shirt and anything else that I see. As Tower of Terror is my favourite ride, I really want to get my hands on the Tower of Terror Tsum Tsums that were recently released. I also am an avid Pin Collector and I would love to add to my collection.

From Disneyland, I would like to get a cosy sweater or hoodie that I can live in once I am back in England. I have also seen a few Mickey Waffles shaped bits that you can get there so I would love to buy those. I also know the Guardians of the Galaxy gift shop is going to break me and my bank balance!

Miscellaneous

These are just some random things I want to do during my visit.

  • Get Pixie Dusted at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
  • Send a postcard
  • Stitch my name on Mickey Ears in Disneyland
  • Get 'My First Visit' badges from WDW and Disneyland
  • Take lots and lots of pictures so that I can remember this, potentially, once in a lifetime trip!
  • Do one character dining experience
These are the main things on my Disney Bucket List. You can see me talk about them in more detail below!

See you in my next post,
A x
